Nainital is noted for being one of the popular hill stations located in India. Tourists coming from across the globe visit the dreamy hill station through out the year. The hill station is placed amidst the mighty Himalayas and was constructed by the British colonial powers after a massive landslide in the year 1880. One of the main attractions of the hill spot is the lake. Surrounded by Himalayan peaks the lake is at an altitude of 6,358 feet. Acting as a natural divider the lake divides the entire Nainital into two halves, Tallital and Mallital. The southern part is named as Mallital while the northern part is known as Tallital.
