Kainchi Dham Ashram in Nainital Uttarakhand - Neem Karoli Baba Ashram

The ashram of Shri Neem Karoli Baba Maharajji is positioned 17 kilometers from Nainital. The ashram is believed to be built in memories of Sombari Maharaj and Sadhu Premi Baba by Maharaj Neem Karoli in 1962. A temple devoted to Lord Hanuman, the Kainchi temple and the Ashram are division of the complex.
Kainchi dham is an attractive sheltered mountain ashram positioned in the Kumoan Hills in Uttarakand. The first temple was installed in June 1964. It is around 38 km from Nainital. Lots of people visit the temples here daily, in season. Each year, throughout the famous June 15th bhandara, reportedly, more than one people are fed.
Rules are strictly enforced and individuals staying at the Kainchi ashram are required to contribute in morning and twilight aarati. While the temples are open to everybody from 7am to 6pm in winter, the ashram is closed for 4-5 months, because it becomes very freezing.
